it’s officially been a year since roe v. wade was overturned

It’s hard to believe that it’s been over a year since the Supreme Court made the decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, resulting in devastating abortion bans and restrictions in 16 states that affect over 20 million people.

This January WOULD have been the 50th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, but instead, we find ourselves continuing the fight for bodily autonomy. You can help restore the abortion rights recognized in 1973’s Roe v. Wade decision by supporting Project 50.

Project 50’s building a state-based political infrastructure in all 50 states to elect state legislators and elected officials who will support and expand abortion healthcare access.

We’re doing this by investing in developing organizations within each state and providing them with resources to establish a sustainable process to identify pro-choice candidates, recruit and train them, and help them win elections, and then, finally, hold them accountable on abortion rights legislation once they are in office.

During this one-year anniversary of Dobbs v. Jackson, we have launched a campaign to highlight the realities of this decision and to increase our capacity to support local activists and elect pro-choice leaders at the state and local level in 2024.

A generous donor has committed a $25,000 matching contribution for funds raised through the anniversary of the Dobbs decision, and we are nearly there. Help us close the gap and re-establish abortion access state-by-state by committing just $10, $25, $50, or - in recognition of 1973’s Roe v. Wade decision - $73 a month.

We need YOU in this fight for a pro-choice future and hope you will consider supporting Project 50 today
